Beginning

It's almost official! Only a few moments untill I have booked my trip to moscow. At this moment I'm planning appointments with this two train-agencies who can help me with the Trans Siberia Express. I need a little time to figure this out, cause it seems you have a lot of possibilities to do the famous trip 'moscow - beijing'. The most common one is a 'one way- all in once' trip, which means you'll be in the train for 7 days non-stop. I don't want that, I would turn into a nutcase (more than I already am) so I'm going for a more 'easy' trip with stops in Siberia and Mongol. Takes longer to reach Beijing, costs more money, but I think it's a better thing to do.


By the way, you may wonder why I'm writing this blog in english instead of dutch. It serves a few purposes:
1. I know quite a few people these days who aren't Dutch, and I think it would be a missed chance for them to miss out on all my (soon to be experienced) awesome adventures, when I' writing in Dutch. :-)
2. English would be my first language during my trip. Needless to say ofcourse. Practicing by writing english will help me improve my vocubalary and grammar. (although I reckon I'm able to manage myself quite well already)

3. Usually, when you meet people along the trip (and hopefully I'll meet a lot fantastic people:-)) they ask what you've been doing so far, where you're going to, and what kind of experiences you've had. Of course I can tell them certain highlights, but I thought it would be nice to give them this website url also, so they can keep updated if they'd like that. I'm thinking to get a few hundred cheap cards with my website printed on it, in order to give them to my 'new made' friends along my trip! Much nicer than a stupid napkin with a unreadable text of a blog or facebooklink or something like that, whick people usually have lost already before you even have turned the next corner.

Last for now, at the top of this page you'll find a navigation bar, where you can find more details about me, my trip etc.

Anyway, the pics on this page are random - just for testing this stuff out. Keep coming back for more details. I'd much appreciate it.
